Dr. Shoeb Ahmed has Been appointed as the Project Director for the developmental project titled ' Establishment of an Applied Bioengineering Research Incubator (ABRI) at BUET'. This is a Government funded 3-year project to establish a state-of-the-art Bioengineering Laboratory at CHemical Engineering Department, BUET.

Two of QEB students have own the 'best paper' award in student category during the International Conference on Sustainability in Natural and Built Environment (iCSNBE 2019) held on 19-23 January 2019 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Congratulations Nishat Tabassumand Al Ibtida Sultana!
IIT QEB researchers Tasneem Tabassum and Atiqur Rahman have won several awards participating in Chemical Engineering-based different competitions at IIT, Bombay in March 2016. Students from more than 300 institutions from India and abroad had participated in that event. BUET has won the award for the best institution at that competion. Congratulations Tasneem and Atiq!  [see more]
paper QEB researchers Israt Jahan Duti and Maisha Maliha have won the 'Journal of Modern Science and Technology (JMST)' Best paper award at the 11th Global Engineering, Science and Technology Conference, held on 18 - 19 December, 2015. Congratulations Israt and Maisha!
exe QEB researchers Tanvir Ahmed and Shafiul Munir have developed a simple executable program that can segment images based on users' requirement. It works on Matlab, however, the most interesting past is that this small file can be installed in any computer with no Matlab installed! They have successfully extracted the minimum required compiler from Matlab to build their small installation file. Users with zero Matlab knowledge can use this graphical interface for image analysis.
biopres QEB researchers Sayed Golam Mohiuddin and Masud Rahman have identified some very effective natural biopreservatives that can resist bacterial growth almost 100%. These are safe, inexpensive and can be very good alternative to hazardous chemicals like formalin.
biopres Shafiul Munir, as a part of team Interstellar from BUET has secured the 1st runner-up position at the Battle of Minds (BOM) 2014, a business entrepreneurship competition organized by British American Tobacco.
Congratulations Shafiul! [see more]
biopres Nuzhat Maisha, as a part of team Phi360 from Chemical Engineering Department, BUET has secured the 1st runner-up position at the Unilever BizMaestros 2014, a business entrepreneurship competition.
Congratulations Nuzhat! [see more]
